7" Edge Floor Sander
Edge sander
Recommended use: All Floors
7" Edge Floor Sander is designed for sanding up tight to the skirting boards, where the main floor sanders can't reach. The small, but powerful sander is also good for sanding stairs and small areas like W'C's. We have two types of Edger Sander on our fleet, the heavy duty edger is what we mainly hire out for old Victorian Pine floorboards, as it has a more powerful motor and the other is for Hardwood and Parquet floors, where a more delicate touch is needed.
The sanding method
Sand the edges of the room using the Edging Sander fitted with a sanding disc.
To operate the Edge Sander, place the lead over your shoulder and tilt the sander on its castors, so that the disc is clear of the floor before you switch the machine on. Prepare yourself to control the sander, switch it on and lower it to make contact with the floor.
On contact, move the sander in a sweeping motion and keep it moving the whole time it's in contact with the floor.
