Resin Gap Filler
You Can mix this Resin with the clean p80 grit saw dust collected in the sanding machine. It is then applied to the gaps between floor boards or parquet blocks with a stainless steel trowel or scrapping knife. When totally dry the excess can be sanded off, using a p80 or p120 grit belt, leaving all gaps filled and virtually the same colour as your wood.
It eliminates drafts coming through boards and also helps to contain the heat in the rooms.
We collect bags of fine dust from time to time...Please ask when ordering.
Drying time: An average size gap between 2mm-6mm should take about 1 hour to dry.
Lacquer, AKA, Varnish
Lacquer is the professional name for the floor finish. There are two main types of Lacquer. Water based and the more traditional is the oil base Today, most of the finish applications are water based. The advantages of a water base finish are; It dries fast and enables the refinishing process to be completed faster by applying several coats per day. It is environmentally friendly and there are no toxic fumes (This is especially important if you have children or pets). The finish is clear, so most people prefer it rather than the yellowish orange tone of oil based polyurethane.
Oil based products are considered more durable, but what with today's technology water based lacquers are just as durable.
The only reason to use an oil based finish now days is if you prefer the darker tone (sometimes preferred in traditional or country style designs). You should also select what finish you would like your floor. The options are high Gloss, Satin or Matt.

Bona Traffic Matt 5lts
2 component system - 4.5 litres of Traffic mixes with 0.45 litre bottle of hardener.
Polyurethane lacquer, for commercial use on prefinished or unfinished floors. Highly wear resistant. Very Matt finish.
Manufacturers recommended Treatment schedules:
- On bare wood: 1 primer plus 2-3 coats of Traffic or 3-4 coats Traffic
- Overcoating: 1-2 coats of Traffic
- Application rate: 8-10 square metres per litre. (per coat)
- Drying time: 3-4 hours at 20 degrees / 60% RH
Bona Mega Silkmatt 1lt
Launched in 1997, Bona Mega is one of the best-selling waterborne finishes in the world. Mega is one-component, but as crosslinking is achieved using the oxygen in the air it has the performance of a two-component finish without requiring any mixing. It has all of the advantages of a waterborne system but still gives a deep, rich colouration similar to a solvent based finish.
Manufacturers recommended Treatment schedules:
- On bare wood: 1 primer plus 2 - 3 coats
of Mega or 3 - 4 coats Mega - Overcoating: 1 - 2 coats of Mega including 2% Bona Crosslinker (See below)
- Application rate: 8 - 10 square metres per litre. (per coat)
- Drying time: 2.5 - 3 hours at 20 degrees / 60% RH

Bona Prime is a primer specifically designed for use with Bona waterborne top coats. It gives the surface a well-bodied look and enhances the natural colour of the wood. Furthermore, the risk of sidebonding is reduced.

Bona Mix&Fill is a waterborne joint filler designed to be mixed with sanding dust to a suitable colour. Bona Mix&Fill is used to fill joints up to 2 mm in width and other minor defects in wooden floors. It can be used with all Bona finishes and oils and gives the flooring contractor the possibility to offer a complete waterborne system. Other benefits include anti-corrosive properties, no solvents or unpleasant smells.
